International COST 294 Workshop on User Interface Quality Models

This workshop is aimed at every person interested by assessing the quality of a user interface of an interactive system. It is also targeted to people designing, developing, using, or testing software that ensures some form of quality of these user interfaces, manually, automatically or in a computer-aided way: logging tools, validity checker, reverse engineering tools, re-engineering tools, transcoders, usability checkers, accessibility verifier, automatic metric capture, statistical tools, guideline reviewers,.... The purpose of this workshop is to explicit any model, qualitative or quantitative, that may be useful to assess the quality of a user interface, like accessibility, usability, reliability, reusability,... A framework will help participants to structure approaches and software along to several dimensions to classify existing related work and to discover yet uncovered dimensions. A particular emphasis is put on software that helps people to assess the quality of web sites. A discussion will be materialized by an analysis grid evaluating the validity of underlying quality models. All attributes relevant to the quality of user interfaces are appropriate, such as those defined in ISO 9126: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency,...
